General Questions
We store RVs, motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, boats, campers, utility trailers, and other recreational vehicles. Cars and trucks may be accepted upon inspection and management approval.

Rest Stop Storage is conveniently located near Windsor, Greeley, and Severance, making us a popular choice for RV and boat owners throughout Northern Colorado. Our central location offers easy access for customers storing RVs, boats, trailers, and campers, and many of our customers also come from Timnath, Eaton, Fort Collins, Loveland, Johnstown, and Milliken.
No. We offer month-to-month rentals and do not require a long-term lease.
A minimum of two months' rent is required at move-in and is non-refundable. After the initial two-month period, rentals continue month-to-month, with automatic payments due on the 1st of each month.

Renting a Space
To rent a storage space, you will need:
A valid government-issued photo ID
Current recreational vehicle Proof of Ownership
Proof of insurance
A valid credit or debit card
No. We do not require a security deposit.
In many cases, customers can move in the same day, depending on availability.
We encourage customers to reserve a space in advance to ensure availability and allow access outside office hours or on weekends.
If a larger or smaller space becomes available, we can assist you with transferring to a space that better fits your needs.
Space Sizing
Not necessarily. Space requirements are based on the combined length of the boat and trailer, including the trailer tongue, outboard motor, swim platform, and any accessories that extend beyond the hull.
Measure your recreational vehicle from the farthest point in front to the farthest point in the back, including any accessories or attachments. If you are unsure, contact us, and we will help you determine the appropriate space size.
Access & Security
Yes. Our facility is fully fenced and gated with controlled access.
Security features include:

7,000-volt electric perimeter fence
Yes. We have an on-site manager at the facility, providing an additional layer of oversight for the property.
March – October: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
November – February: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Yes. Each customer receives a unique gate access code.
Yes. Customers have access during normal gate hours, including weekends and most holidays.
Our facility features seasonal gate access hours:
Spring/Summer (March – October): 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Fall/Winter (November – February): 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Please note that the gate shuts down completely at exactly 10:00 PM or 8:00 PM depending on the season, and your gate code will no longer operate. If you find yourself stuck inside the facility after closing time, you must call our after-hours number and leave a message or send us a text message for assistance.
Facility Amenities
Yes. We offer a private on-site dump station exclusively for current Rest Stop Storage customers.
The dump station is not open to the public and is intended only for customers who are actively renting storage space.
Yes. Potable (drinking-quality) water is available at the dump station area for current customers to fill their RV freshwater tanks.
This amenity is available exclusively to customers currently renting a storage space at Rest Stop Storage.
Yes. An air compressor is available near the Service Spaces for customer use.
This amenity is available exclusively to current Rest Stop Storage customers.
Service Spaces are designated areas where current Rest Stop Storage customers can prepare their RVs and boats for upcoming trips and perform basic maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.

Service Spaces are designed to help customers prepare their recreational vehicles for travel and perform basic maintenance. Please refer to the Service Space Rules and Regulations for complete details on permitted activities, electrical usage, reservation requirements, and length-of-stay limits.
Yes, but only in a reserved Service Space.
Customers may perform basic maintenance, inspections, cleaning, trip preparation, and minor repairs while occupying a Service Space. Work is not permitted in regular storage spaces.
Service Spaces must be reserved online or by contacting the office and may be used for up to 7 consecutive days at no charge. Each space provides access to 120V, 15-amp electrical service.

We do not currently offer wash bays. However, several nearby facilities accommodate large RVs and boats.
No. These amenities are private and available only to current Rest Stop Storage customers. Public use is not permitted.
Insurance & Liability
Yes. All recreational vehicles stored at Rest Stop Storage must maintain current insurance coverage for the duration of their stay.
No. Customers are responsible for maintaining their own insurance coverage.
Rest Stop Storage does not insure stored recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, or personal property.
Any damage should be reported directly to your insurance carrier and our office.
Customers are responsible for maintaining insurance coverage for all stored recreational vehicles and property.
Payments & Billing
All new accounts are required to enroll in AutoPay.
Payments may be made:
Through your online customer portal
By contacting our office
Through automatic monthly billing
Rent is due on the 1st of each month and is automatically processed through AutoPay.
Accounts that become delinquent are subject to the following:
Late fees will be assessed after 10 days
Gate access will be suspended after 20 days
A lien process will begin after 30 days, as allowed by Colorado law
Yes. You can update your payment method at any time through your online customer portal.
Rules & Restrictions
The following items are prohibited:
Hazardous materials
Flammable liquids
Explosives
Illegal substances
Perishable goods
Trash or debris
Any item prohibited by law
No. All personal property must remain inside your RV, boat, trailer, or recreational vehicle.
Items may not be stored on the ground, beside your recreational vehicle, or outside your assigned space.
Only individuals authorized on your account may access your storage space.
Moving Out
You must notify our office in writing at least 10 days before your next renewal date if you intend to vacate your space.
Your account must be paid in full, and the space completely emptied, before your move-out can be finalized.
Yes. A minimum of 10 days' notice prior to your next renewal date is required.
Before vacating your space:
Remove all recreational vehicles and belongings
Ensure your account balance is paid in full
Notify the office that the space has been vacated
